This was a short week for me but, it sure was still a long work week. I'm glad the weekend is here! Fall is definitely around the corner and I can't wait for cooler weather so I'm thinking about cooking something this weekend that reminds me of Fall and my mom at the same. Fricassee, and maybe some homemade yeast rolls that we called maw maw bread. If I can get some good sweet potatoes for baking, that will go perfectly.
So, what ch'all cookin' and eatin' this weekend?

Alright, I think I'm over my bout of "Truck Lag"(I went to Alabama in my truck not a jet so, I call it truck lag)and I think this post will about have me up to date with posts. I did a lil cooking this past Sunday that included indoor cooking, baking, outdoor grilling and frying. I started with making a big pot of chicken fricassee(no pictures of that)and then a batch of buttery yeast rolls. Almost finished rising I had to take the rolls out of the oven a tad early because my oil was at temp and I had to get outside to fry th shrimp. The outdoor fryer with some shrimp in 375* oil. Done and perfectly fried! The ribeyes and a couple of small flatiron steaks hot off the grill.

Thanks Key! I need to work on my fricassee. I don't think I'll ever get it the way my mother made it.
