Last weekend I put together one of my Christmas gifts from my family and I really like it. My wife was even impressed with it. I can see some homemade "char-broiled" oysters on the half shell in the future. I haven't lit it yet though as the day I put it together it was really quite windy and I didn't have the time to sit out there for it to burn out. Maybe this coming weekend I'll try it out. Very well made and heavy duty.

To cool, does it have a lid. Do you plan on lump or charcoal?

No it doesn't have a lid. I'll figure out something to help snuff out the fires though. I'll probably use whatever I have the most of and real wood. Can't wait to light 'er up!

I want to say the diameter of thee pit itself is about 30 inches so, a largeWeber wouldn't work unless it was the Ranch model. You know that REALLY big Webber grill. Lol... I will get me a cover to protect it from the rain and maybe put some casters on it for moving around.
