Not exactly sure about here yet as it's getting ready to be a busy day starting with cutting grass when I get off the computer in a couple of minutes. Today there is a Saints pre-season game tonight so I might through something on the grill later. If not maybe a couple of big ol' po boy loaves from one of my favorite Poor Boy restaurants. We'll see.

I was a bit worn out today from doing yard work and errands so, I called one of my favorite Poor Boy restaurants, Kid Creole and ordered some to go. I picked them up and got home in time for the Saints second pre-season game tonight. Let's see, a couple of roast beef dress, 2 fried shrimp, catfish, ham & swiss and one called a King Combo(roast beef, ham & cheese). All were 11" poor boys and dressed. These pictures don't do them justice but, they were really filled and delicious. All I can say is that they were fantastic and Daryl(owner)does a spectacular poor boy sandwich. Prices cannot be beat either. On top of that my daughter made crawfish nachos that were delicious!

Good way to get your ___ kicked is to show people food like that! ;D I've never had a po boy(LA style anyway). I'd take a shrimp, catfish, and oyster po boy.....stacked or 3 different sammy's. Those crawfish nachos look fantastic, too. Great job on those "daughter"! for us to get crawfish tails in fat costs about $19 from LAcrawfish co. After a meal like that, I got Pizza Hut , you are now off my Christmas list! ;D Great pix, thanks for share'n! Keep it come'n, I live vicariously through you guys/gals!

Sorry about that bigal! I hear you on the cost of peeled and frozen Louisiana crawfish, but you have to admit they are delicious. Most times we have crawfish boils down here I like to cook more than we're actually going to eat and then we peel the leftovers and freeze for cooking a variety of dishes when we want to later. The only problem is when you eat too much crawfish, something like this happens to you. Or, it might be the beer that causes that! ;D

I'm not going to be able to keep up with all the "What's cooking at your house" threads pretty soon.

Emmett's absolutely has some great meats! Here are a couple of 21 day dry aged porterhouse steaks I got from him and grilled a wile back. 24 oz. each of pure beef greatness. Served with baked potato, creamed spinach and Crabmeat Maison over fresh avacado.
