Earlier today I started tonight's dinner by browning off some chicken thighs and breasts.
While that was going I made a roux. This picture was before I got it to my desired darkness.
While making the roux I also got the onions cooking down.
Man am I glad we have a good range vent! The whole house was smelling like onions. Lol...... Added chicken stock/broth, seasonings and let it simmer a couple of hours.
It just felt like a batch of homemade rolls would go good with this so I threw together some dough and made rolls. I have misplaced my good homemade rolls recipe so I'm trying different recipes. These came out good but not as good as what I usually make.
