I'm smoking a nice 9.5 lb pork butt for someone that did me a favor a short while back. I rubbed it down with "Pork Barrel BBQ" brand All American Spice Rub. This is smelling like it's going to be a good one. I'm doing it in my Traeger Smoke House wood pellet fueled smoker. Here it is right after placing inthe smoker

Butt is done and it's a good one! I took it out and let it sit on the counter to cool some before pulling it. It was so tender that as I was taking it out of the smoker, it broke apart. It has a fantastic tasty bark and is about as moist as can be. After giving it a rough pull. Pork Barrel rub is some good stuff! Tell them Nathan sent you if you order some. ;D They have three different sauces that are PDG also. www.porkbarrelbbq.com/

That is real nice. It looks really moist and tender. Nice cook. Which do you prefer to use the Traeger or the Big Steel Keg on Pork Butts?

Thanks! it came out great. I know he'll like it.
I like no love them all. They all have a purpose and it really just depends on if I'm busy. With the Traeger being the easiest to deal with all I have to do is check on pellet consumption every now and then. The other grills need more attention to watching the rise or fall of temp.
