This morning while feeding the chickens I checked on the progress of the oranges ripening. I'm not sure what happened this year because both the Hamlin and the Blood Orange tree are full of oranges but they're smaller than usual. The average about the size of a tennis ball. They are slowly turning orange but in years past by now there would be more that were ready to eat. I picked about a dozen of the ones that were ripe but I didn't have a chance to try them yet.
