Alas, I'm able to post. We're alive and well here. We went through the storm fine but, the power went out here in my neighborhood Wed. About 7:30 pm and it was difficult to post from the IPad? Still don't have Internet. The electricity finally came back on at 3:45 pm this afternoon. Ahhhhh............ AIR CONDITIONING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I spent most of the last two days cleaning up leaves and pine cones and other wind blown debris. The biggest damage is my carport/patio is peeled and rolled up right against the roof of the house roof. Everything in the storage shed is pretty much ruined. I'll take that over more serious damage any day. it did get pretty hairy here with the wind. The rain wasn't as bad even though we had 12+ inches of rain. Well except for the stuf in the shed.
Oh, and there is the window upstairs from my office that blew out and the rain poured into my front room on the first floor. That's a mess I get to start cleaning when the power comes on there.
Other than those minor things everything is fine. ;D

I'm still here! I've been really busy cleaning up at the office which has turned out to be a bigger mess than I first thought it would be. Ripping up carpet, cleaning other carpeted areas, mopping up water and basically taking over building maintnance since the guy that owns the building is in the hospital. Had to get someone to repair the busted out window upstairs, temporarily repair door damage, move stuff around in the office to do the necessary cleaning. I'm wearing thin here! I feel for those who still have no electricity. Power was finally restored at the office yesterday afternoon apparently while I left to get supplies at Home Deapot. It was a happy moment to walk in that office and feel the cool air of air conditioning. Good thing my son-in-law was available to help me yesterday.
It will still be 2 or 3 days before I can get the office back into shape to do actual lab work.
