Got myself a new pan for my birthday. It's a Lodge Seasoned Steel pan. I ordered a heat resistant grip for it separartely and I love it. I really like how the handled is raised in and offset position. I christened it by cooking a couple of scrambled eggs. Very nice and heavy!

Three rivets on the handle is a sign of quality. Nate I did not know they make steel pans. Eggs look great, Made in USA great, "Louisiana Life" mag, great, great , great ;D-JimZ

Thanks! It's just about a perfect pan for cooking on a grill with too. Heavy but, manageable. If they made a cast iron pan with a handle like that they'd have something.

My brother has had a pan for the last 30 to 40 years that looks like that. Really great pan. His wasn't seasoned steel but is now. It was called a French omelet pan and I have been looking for one for years. Where did you get it?

I got this one from Amazon.com . I think you can get them locally at Caire Restaurant Supply. I know they have the other brand that I can't remember the name of right now.
