I see there has been a tropical storm that has developed in the Eastern Carribean that bears watching for the potential to hit Florida. The exact expected path is uncertain at this time. Let's keep and eye on this and hope and pray for the best. www.wwltv.com/weather/hurricane/hurricane-tracker/

Still keeping a close eye since I'm on the SE Florida coast which was in the direct path last night. But the 11AM forecast has shifted a bit east and off the coast. The bad news is that it's now forecast to be a CAT-3 or stronger when it is off our coast and we are still in the forecast path so I will be watching closely for the next 48 hours. Current forecast as of 11AM

It looks like now Hurricane Irene, will not enter the Gulf of Mexico but, it will however continue to intensify and skirt the east coast of Florida and hit the Carolinas by this weekend. I hope the people there heed cautions and prepare for the worst.

I'm not going to feel safe until Irene is NORTH of us (SWFL)!
Remember "Charlie" and the infamous 'wobble'?
