I ordered a whole Tamworth hog to split with my Dad. Hog came in small and we ended up with around 154lbs of meat. Here's a couple pics. Tamworth whole hog. This is about half the meat. I kept both bellies to make bacon and my Dad kept the 18lb of ground pork and a small bag of fat to hold until we can make it into sausage. I had the butcher cure and smoke the hams since I haven't done it yet and didn't want to experiment on Dads part of the hog. I'll do the bacon though. I also orders some special cut berkshire awhile back that just came in too I really wanted the chops. Had them special cut to 1.5" thick. They will be soooo good. Got 3 tenderloins, 1 rack of baby backs, 2 racks of spares, 18 thick cut chops, and 1 4 bone loin roast. Close up of chops I'm really looking forward comparing the tamworth to the berkshire. Both were organic rasied and pastured. Berkshire averaged $4.33lb while the tamworth was averaged $2.35 lb.
