Alright, so this past Tuesday night I caught a possum in the trap in my yard. Took it for a drive and released it. Got home and reset the trap with canned dog food this time. Usually I just use dry dog food. That evening about 8:30 pm the dogs are going crazy barking at another one in a banana tree in the neighbors yard. I leave it alone and figured it would end up getting trapped over night. By 9:30 it was trapped. Having caught another one so quickly I figured I'd wait and make the release trip the next day so I put this one in a big garbage can with pine needles. I even gave it some dry dog food. Didn't make the release until yesterday afternoon. I reset the trap. This morning I was up about 5:00 and checked the trap when I let the dogs out and there was nothing in it. The food I put leading to the trap was gone though. So I figured "Good! No opossum!" I was outside checking on the chickens to feed them and I happened to look behind the shed at the trap as occasionally a squirrel gets in there. There's a fricking opossuum in the trap. And this is a big one! Not the biggest as I have caught one that easily was a good five pounds bigger. That makes three damn opossum in five day/nights. I can't imagine how many there are where no one is catching them!!! This is #2 from Wednesday night. This one from last night brings the total I've trapped to like 27 or more over the last two years.

Holy Crap, Possum Man!!! You had a raccoon recently. What's next, a armadillo. I am surprised that in the middle of a neighborhood that you would have that many critters. Look out for alligators.
