Just great Nate. Beautiful. I am surprised MaMa mocking bird did not attack you. I seen them go after hawks by my house and last week went after a squirrel.

The squirrels deserve it...the Hawks are sissies, easily intimidated!

I have an orange tree in the yard that has had a bird nest in it for at least the last three years and every year it gets refurbished and used for a mockingbird to lay eggs and hatch her babies. This year is no different and I noticed this morning while checking on the chickens(and picking up fresh eggs)that the eggs have hatched and the baby birds are not to far from being ready for flight. I believe there are at least three in the nest as I don't want to get too close and scare them out of the nest. Moa bird was in the top of the tree when I took a few pictures this morning. ......
You've got to be careful around those mama mockingbirds. They will dive bomb attack you if you get too close to the nest. Their beaks and feet can do damage to your head.
