Tonight I thought how nice it would be to have a nice ice cold glass of fresh orange juice in the morning so, I juiced up about some oranges from my trees in the yard. I have both Hamlin and Blood oranges that are very juicy and delicious.
As the next few weeks go by the blood oranges will turn a deeper crimson red. They will also change in flavor making them both sweet yet tangy sort of like cranberries.
You can see in this picture where I juiced more hamlins than blood oranges as they sort of layered in the color of the juice.
I ended up with a half gallon and about another pint that I drank out of 17 oranges. Not bad!
